Colab Tower is this wonderful hidden venue right next to the site of the original Shakespeare Globe. I have walked by many times and have never noticed it. We went there to the special VPN event last Monday
Caroline, Jen, Katy, Yannick, Ola and Taragh joined us to make dolls, we made 11.
The dolls had fun walking in the lunation cycle, they specially loved being at the full moon phase. We discovered that 12 people have walked on the moon so far and they have assumed they are the first dolls!
‘I didn’t know what to expect when Regina invited me to make a doll for her beautiful project for peace and what I experienced was so much more than I could ever have imagined. The whole process from filling the dolls with the ‘stuff that the dreams are made of’ to a meditation with my creation was full of peace and gentleness – much like Regina herself. My heart was full.’
‘It is a rare opportunity to choose where a heart comes to rest. In the meditation, feeling my pulse, a moment of forgiveness and gratitude for every other moments in which the heart must make its own way.’
‘My experience have been of deep focus and determination, the doll reminded me of myself – unfinished, imperfect, today with a broken heart that shows.’
‘The joy of making was present. And the joy of letting go and knowing this small piece of my making will go on an adventure with thousands of others, united, together.’
I am so grateful for all makers who joined us to make dolls and I was really happy to join the space with my beloved Fairytale Library. Thank you so much Jen and Katy who invited me to come along and be one of the collaborators of this great event.
